Allen Wurzbach serves HarborCrest International as a Managing Director utilizing his broad search experience combined with his years of corporate and line human resource management experience. Between 1997 and 2009, Mr. Wurzbach served as a Managing Associate in the Global Financial Services Practice of Korn/Ferry International, at first from New York and later from the firm's Stamford, Connecticut office. During this time, Mr. Wurzbach served in both generalist and specialist roles in completing assignments for Chief Executives, Chief Financial Officers and other senior executives for life, health and P&C insurance companies, regulatory agencies, banking and financial services firms, and private equity investors. Since 1997, he has successfully completed more than 140 executive search assignments for a broad cross section of the financial services industry as well as in consumer products, manufacturing, aerospace, alternative energy, professional services, private equity portfolio companies, legal and regulatory, and real estate.
Mr. Wurzbach has more than 25 years of experience as a human resources executive and management consultant. From 1982 to 1992 he served financial services organizations in line human resource roles for Chemical Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase) and Kidder Peabody & Co. (now part of UBS.) Between 1992 and 1997, he was the principal of a human resource generalist consulting firm that he founded in 1992. His early career included corporate human resource assignments in compensation, recruiting and training with Booz Allen & Hamilton, the Pepsi-Cola Company and Citibank. Mr. Wurzbach served two years active duty and two years in the active reserves as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps.
Mr. Wurzbach holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lehigh University and he earned a Master's of Science degree in Education from New York University.
